So, it's Sunday evening at 8:17pm. The only reason the girls aren't in bed is because I promised them dessert and it isn't cooled off yet. I'm tired. Keith's tired and just finishing up the lawn mowing. It doesn't seem like we did anything but we are all wiped out.
I made homemade mac and cheese today and it wasn't great. The girls didn't even like it much. Izzy did eat about half of what I served her. But the brauts were a huge hit! So the girls still ate a very good amount of food and that makes me happy. Neither are feeling great still, but hopefully it won't hang on too much longer.
BUT, I made homemade refried beans and homemade granola cereal Friday and they seriously rock! Super good stuff. Yay!
I thought I had more interesting things to say, but I don't. So goodnight.

Go Rangers!
Holy Cow! The Rangers beat the Yankees in the 10th with a walk off run by Murphy! Woo Hoo! I am so stoked! I am and will forever be a Ranger fan. Good times and bad - no doubt. We are having a stellar year and boy do we need it. We've been having a hard time since the golden years of Nolan Ryan. We've finally gotten some solid pitchers and our line up is just fantastic! Go Rangers! :)
Onto family news...
My poor Izzy has major nasal conjestion. Of course we got some cooties from visiting my sister. It never fails. If the boys are around my girls then my girls get sick. (Even if the boys aren't!) It's not a bad thing - my girls need some cooties to prepare for school. I have a feeling they will both be sick for the majority of the year with Lily attending pre-k this year. Which is mostly why I want her to go to school at all. I'm in no hurry for my little girl to grow up. I love her so much and she's just getting so big so fast. God willing we'll get her dadgum birth certificate one of these years so we can enroll her. Yes, I know it's getting down to the wire, school probably starts in a couple weeks. Will we have her birth certificate in a couple weeks? Nope, not likely. Even if we mailed off the money order tomorrow we wouldn't get it for a month probably. I'm not holding my breath. So she'll start a little late. No big deal. Some days I think she's going to love school and some days I think she's going to be the kid that cries every time she's dropped off. I REALLY hope it's not the latter. That would just break my heart into a million pieces even though I know that she'll stop crying a couple minutes after I'm gone and will be fine. I just hate to hear her cry - I'm her momma (or mudder {i.e. mother} - as she and Izzy have been saying lately). And that's my job. :)
Little tidbits:
Lily and Izzy have been incredibly sweet these days, telling me they love me lots of times throughout the day and I LOVE IT!! :) They have always been sweet girls but it's just so awesome to hear "I love you mommy" all day long. Makes my heart super happy!
Lily has apparently been dreaming about rain? A couple of days this past week she has come running into my room in the middle of the night claiming to have heard thunder and "it's going to rain!". Trust me, no rain lately - just a stinkin million degrees outside with no end in sight. Sigh. I dream of Michigan weather...it was only 85 degrees in Mio today and people were complaining that it was hot. If they only knew...
I love monthly meal planning! It makes my life so much easier! It's the little things.

Great Weekend
We had such a great weekend at my sister's house! I really needed the change of scenery - I think we all did. I just love my sister. She's one of my best friends and I truly hope my girls will be super close when they grow up too. Your sister is always there for you. The boys were fabulous and all the kidlets played so well together you'd think they see each other all the time. I wish they did, but life doesn't always turn out the way you want. Since Lily and Keller will be in the same grade in school, I had hoped that they would go to school together and be great friends. Unfortunately that will probably never happen. It makes me a little sad. Tracy and I stayed up until 3:40am Friday night! It was fun. I could've stayed up longer just talking to her. I miss her. So anyway, we forced ourselves to go to bed and when I woke up (at 10:30am - thanks Keith!) Chris was making one of his famous breakfasts! Yummy breakfast tacos! The girls didn't want to leave but they were awesome about it, no crying, just lots of kisses and hugs. It was a great visit. Grayson is getting so big and he gives the best hugs. He runs to you with open arms and when you scoop him up to love on him he hugs you and puts his head on your shoulder! What a love bug.
I can't wait to do it again! :)

Where, O Where Has My Patience Gone?
Wow, the past two days I have been c.r.a.n.k.y. Really. Why? Dunno, maybe because it's so stinkin hot that the girls and I are cooped up in the house all day. Maybe it's because I don't sleep well. Maybe it's because the munchkins have been bickering like crazy and it's just not the norm. Any who, it will pass (hopefully by tomorrow).
On a positive note, Izzy is such a turkey. In a great way. When I'm losing patience she sings me a song to make me smile. And it does. Every time. I love that little girl. She sings "I love you" over and over in a little, tiny, dreamy, fairytale voice and it melts my heart. So I smile and hug her and hold her and tell her thank you for singing such a great song. Her response: "No problem." Turkey!! :)
Our craft project right now is making some salt dough magnets for grammy's house. She has lame magnets that you get in the mail with small calendars and such. They don't hold the girls lovely works of art too well on the fridge. We are going to fix that little problem. My husband rocks and bought a ton of stuff from the craft section a while back and part of that was a huge roll of magnet strips. The craft is taking several days but it will be worth it and the girls are really enjoying it. Of course, they love anything artsy or crafty. Me too.
